Don Quixiote according to Marian Nowinski

In Warsaw, at the Cervantes Institute and at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, a series of exhibitions in memory of the work of Marian Nowinski took place. The main theme of the exhibitions was a series of his illustrations of Don Quixote. Marian Nowinski is a well-known Polish graphic designer, illustrator and poster artist. He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and a founder and first dean of the Faculty of New Media Art in Warsaw.

The poster is promoting the exhibitions but also is a form of tribute to the professor whopassed away a few years ago. The main element of the poster is a three-dimensional form reproducing one of the graphics created by Marian Nowinski. 3D model was made by graduates of the department created by the professor, Adrian Szumilas and Karol Klaput. It shows the idea of combining tradition with modernity in visual arts, close to the philosophy of Marian Nowinski. The poster was created on base of the XR_Center PJAIT key visual, also made by the author of the poster.
